Oh, how this resonates! You know those days when your mind is a whirlpool of thoughts, anxieties, and to-dos? It's like trying to see through a stormy seaโgood luck spotting that treasure chest at the bottom!
But let's flip the script. Imagine a serene lake, not a ripple in sight. You can see straight down to the sandy bottom, and everything is as clear as crystal. That's your mind on calm. That's where the magic happens.
So, how do we get there? How do we go from tempest to tranquility? Here are a few things I do that have helped me:
Breathe, Baby, Breathe: Seriously, don't underestimate the power of a good ol' deep breath. Inhale the good vibes, exhale the bad juju.
Unplug to Recharge: Sometimes, you gotta step away from the chaos to find your calm. Put down that phone, walk away from the situation, and just BE.
Gratitude Galore: Count your blessings. It's hard to be a stormy sea when you're overflowing with gratitude.
Move It to Lose It: Got pent-up energy making waves in your mind? Sweat it out! Exercise is a fantastic way to clear the cobwebs. Personally, I like my stationary bike. If that doesnโt work up the sweat, I go to YouTube and find a dance video to jam to.
Talk It Out: Sometimes, you just need to vent. Find a trusted friend, family member, or even a furry companion and spill. You'll feel lighter, I promise.

A Copywriting Tip
In todayโs world of generative AI tools like ChatGPT, writing sales copy is easier than ever. The key is to understand if the copy thatโs been written is any good. Yes, you can test it. But if you donโt have a good sense of what good sales copy is supposed to โsoundโ like, then it means your input to ChatGPT will not be good and the output will be mediocre or worse - not good at all.
So, let me share what good sales copy โsoundsโ like. Good sales copy โsoundsโ like a conversation with your ideal buyer.
Thatโs right. Itโs not hypey. Itโs not salesy. Itโs not โin your face'. Itโs not outrageous. Itโs simply showing the reader (your ideal buyer) how your solution fits the problem they have.
You do this by focusing on the benefits of your solution. The benefits are what your buyer will experience after theyโve used your solution. And you show them by using descriptions and narratives they can relate to.
So whether youโre writing an email or a sales page, a social media ad or a blurb in a newsletterโฆ
think about the buyer and how they feel as they experience the problem your offer solvesโฆthen imagine them before and after using your offerโฆand write about that. Show them. Them invite them get the solution now.

aka random bits of info you may or may not be able to use in your life
Did you know the name "Earth" has been around for over a thousand years? It comes from old Anglo-Saxon words, meaning ground or soil. It's pretty unique because, unlike the other planets named after Greek and Roman gods, Earth's name is the same as what it's made of.
Some fun Earth trivia:
The first time "Earth" was used in English was in an old Bible translation, referring to the land God created.
Earth is the only planet in our solar system with plate tectonics โ basically, its surface is made of moving pieces.
A day on Earth isn't exactly 24 hours; it's about 4 minutes shorter. That's why we sometimes add a leap second to our clocks.
Earth is gradually slowing down. Every few years, an extra second is added to make up for lost time.

P.S. Itโs nearing the end of 2023. Iโve been reviewing my business memberships and associations so I can decide which ones have served their purpose and which ones are worthy of my renewing.
One membership I am definitely renewing is with Titans Xcelerator Mastermind. Itโs a group owned and led by Brian Kurtz, former Executive Vice President of Boardroom Inc. and Founder of Titans Marketing - a direct marketing education company. For nearly 40 years, heโs been fortunate to know and work with some of the greatest direct response marketers who ever lived. And he shares that knowledge with the business owners and copywriters in the mastermind.
Itโs an affordable (incredibly affordable considering the value I get every week Iโm on a call with him and the experts he brings in to share with us)โฆoption for business owners and copywriters who are struggling to grow.
If youโre new to business - you need to be surrounded by business owners who can show you what you should do next.
If youโre struggling to get your business past a milestone - you need access to business owners whoโve taken their business to $1M/year in sales to $50M/year in sales.
If youโre ready to exit your business - you need to be around people who have exited and entered numerous businesses. Join us.
